Week 2: Square One

Well, that was quite a week! Thankfully, we've overcome our Covid-related challenges* for now, and we're looking forward to seeing what this week brings us!

Week Two Schedule

Monday: Practice - 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Tuesday: Match against Coronado at Coronado High School

2:30 PM | 650 D Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118

Our (actual) first match of the season will be on Tuesday, March 9th against Coronado High School at Coronado. The match will take place at 3:30 PM, and class release is at 1:40 PM.

Please be at Coronado for warm ups by 2:30 PM on March 9th. The tennis courts are located at 650 D Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118.

As before, the coach from Coronado has let us know that there will be no spectators allowed in the facility or around the courts during our match. This requirement is mandatory for all tennis matches until further notice. We understand that this comes as a disappointment, but the safety of our players and coaches comes first. If there are any updates to this situation, you will all be the first to know.

Wednesday: Practice - 3:30 PM to 5:15 PM

Thursday: Match against SDA at Westview High School**

2:30 PM | Westview Home Courts

**We may have to reschedule this match, as there is a possibility of rain on Thursday. Please check your emails or this blog for a final announcement on Thursday's match.

In case we do not have rain and there are no communications otherwise:

Please be at Westview for warm ups by 2:30 PM on March 11th. The match will take place at Westview's home courts.

• *Please remember that it is extremely important to keep wearing your masks while in close contact with other team members.

• We ask that you bring your donation check, in the amount of $335, on Monday or Tuesday. As a reminder, this money will go toward uniforms, the tennis program, the banquet, lights, windscreens for the courts, and sweatshirts. Checks should be made out to 'Westview Foundation – Groups and Clubs' with the memo 'Boys Tennis' or 'Girls Tennis.'

• Also, if anyone is able to donate practice balls, such as these ones sold at Costco, we would be much obliged!

• Players are invited to join our Discord server (link active for 7 days).

• We still need volunteers for Varsity snacks. All parents are strongly suggested to sign up for at least one slot! It makes the experience better for everyone.

• Sign-ups to volunteer to become a Team Parent, or to volunteer to help drive our players to matches, are still open! We need all the help we can get, so please sign up.
